The Rotax Earth Day as a starting point for sustainable mobility

Gunskirchen, April 26, 2017 - BRP-Rotax is focusing on climate change at Earth Day. For the year 2017, an annual program was developed, which bundles CSR measures on mobility. The personal carbon footprint can be reduced significantly.
With numerous CSR measures, BRP-Rotax is raising awareness of social responsibility. The Rotax Earth Day was organized on 26 April with various actions. The focus was on e-mobility. Many employees tested various e-cars such as a Tesla, Mercedes B electric, Renault Zoe, Nissan Leaf or BMW i3 as well as a selection of e-bikes. The program was supplemented by an interesting lecture, which makes it clear that everyone can make an important contribution to climate protection.
The Day of the Earth was also used to focus on the two main themes of the annual program for mobility. BRP-Rotax has launched a new internet platform: According to the motto "Rotax goes to work", those employees who travel to work by bike or on foot can enter their kilometers. Everyone gets a concrete information about how much CO2 they have personally saved. The winners of this campaign received a gift at the end of the day.
The second initiative is called "Rotax Carpool" and promotes the formation of carpools. The advantages are manifold: the participants are not only committed to environmental protection but also to save nerves, time and money. The saved kilometers can also be entered on the Internet platform. Those who have traveled the most kilometers with carpool can look forward to great profits.
