World premiere DEKM starts in Wackersdorf

Worlds first electronic kart championship (DEKM) celebrates in course of the German kart Championship (DKM) race premiere in Wackersdorf on the upcoming weekend from 12th till 13th of May. 18 drivers already got the chance to get to know the high-performance racing e-kart Rotax THUNDeR in Wackersdorf last weekend and could already drive some rounds on the challenging kart route.
Historical moment for karting
With the first runs of the German e-kart-championship in Oberfalz comes a new era of karting. Well known partners such as Porsche Motorsport, BRP-Rotax, Dekra and Deutsche Post Speed Academy support this innovative and challenging race series. “After a long theory- and preparation phase tension is raising and we are happy that it finally kicks off and we have green light for this world premiere”, says DEKM-Promoter Oliver Schielein, manager director from the motor sport experienced communication agency IKmedia from Schwaig bei Nürnberg. “We have the unique chance of setting a milestone leading to an exciting future, due to our strong partners and a field full of participants
Five Races leading to an innovative future
After the upbeat in Wackersdorf together with DKM, DEKM is starting on three more racing weekends in course of the German kart-championship. The karting talents will participate at yet another racing weekend in course of ADAC Kart Masters in Oschersleben.
Equal chances and performance for our offspring
In the name of a sustainable and cost-conscious racing series, tiles, weight of the e-karts and practicing days are universally defined for every participant. The high performing racing e-kart Rotax THUNDeR sets the maximum acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 3.5s, just like that it reaches a top speed of 130km/h. Besides the Rotax ePowerpack the e-kart consists of a specially developed Sodi Sigma DD2 Chassis as well as Vega tiles.
Youth development
Our offspring, which are the first to take part at such a challenging and modern championship which is unique in this world, don’t only gain prestige. The best driver of the first DEKM season get supported by Porsche Motorsport in the upcoming year, filled with a range of training programs. Moreover, the DEKM champion 2018 gets the opportunity to take a personal interview with the jury of Deutsche Post Speed Academy.
