Waste separation made easy with Wurmi

Waste separation made easy with Wurmi

On 26 April, Roman Lugmayr from BRP-Rotax GmbH & Co KG and his companion, a long cloth worm called “Wurmi”, visited the kindergarten in Gunskirchen as part of the BRP-Rotax CSR programme. The term Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) describes the company's social responsibility and its economic contribution to sustainable development. A considerate approach to nature and the environment can already be learned in kindergarten.

For this reason, during Roman Lugmayr's and “Wurmi's" visit, the children of the “Löwengruppe” dealt with the topic of environmental protection and the proper waste separation. New experiences have been made with the different types of waste and with recycling. With a lot of enthusiasm, the children were allowed to sort various types of waste into the correct waste bins and learned to recognize these differences. “Wurmi" was very grateful for their commitment, motivation and cooperation.

A special highlight was the close observation of excellent compost soil through a microscope, by which all children could marvel at the composition of soil.

Many thanks to Roman Lugmayr for this exciting experiences.
