Linz, June 28, 2019 – For the seventh time, our TEC2move set more than 2,000 students, teachers and all interested people in motion and took them to the ARS Electronica Center in Linz for the first time from June 25 to 27.

The three-day, school-related event on science and technology (NAWITECH) is organized by the RIC, the Regional Innovation Center, and realized in cooperation with numerous partners. As always, it was all about inspiring children and young people for technology, flying, mobility and astronautics.

It was an exciting event with a variety of workshops, experiments, information and numerous exhibitors: RIC, BRP-Rotax, Ars Electronica Center, Conrad Electronics, Fronius International, Greiner Group, Hohes C, Otelo Gen (network of open technology laboratories), Resch & Frisch, RISC Software.

This year's highlight was certainly the Deep Space 8K with its high-resolution recordings, three-dimensional worlds and interactive experiences as well as the competitions for the pupils with attractive main prizes.

The program was designed for ages 6 to 10, 10 to 15 and 13 years and over. With the "LEGO WEDO 2.0", the Milo spacecraft was brought to life by drag and drop and made them explore their surroundings on their own; in "The Robomachine" you could program your own robot relay race with various apps; at "MCTEC goes on a discovery tour" they built a TEC2move plane, learned about CAD-drawing, proved their skills in soldering the propeller; at "100% Loaded. Energy. Full. "Disassembled, analyzed, experimented, and learned how to store power and charge batteries so that the mobile phone's charging status finally shows 100% again; in “Elektrotechnik einmal anders” circuits were explored to find out how to make the bulb shine; and "Future Matters" focused on intelligent (plastic) materials that adapt to changing situations and circumstances.

Scientific and technical occupations open up new and development opportunities for young people and offer them enormous potential to develop their individual skills and strengths."
