Together through the crisis and further towards the future: The Upper Austrian engine manufacturer BRP-Rotax honored special achievements of its international suppliers at the first virtual Supplier Day. Around 290 partners from 25 nations took part in the event, which was held virtually for the first time.

Gunskirchen, April 30, 2021 – BRP-Rotax develops and manufactures innovative propulsion systems for powersports and is supported by more than 160 supplier companies from 25 nations. To show special appreciation to international partners, and at the same time to present future plans of the company, BRP-Rotax organized the Supplier Day 2021 last Thursday. It was the first virtual event in a series of many successful Supplier Days. Around 290 participants from all over the world accepted the invitation.

"Following the motto moving on 2021, we presented new products and technologies and gave an outlook on the electrification of our vehicles. It was also important for us to present long-standing partners who have followed us to Mexico with their production and have thus given us particular support in our growth," reports Markus Niederwimmer, Director Global Supply Chain.

"Strong business relationships are a key success factor for BRP-Rotax, which is why Supplier Day has a long tradition within the company. On the one hand, it offers the opportunity to show our partners new perspectives and to plan developments. On the other hand, it creates a fitting framework for expressing special thanks for the teamwork during the Corona crisis and for presenting awards for the best performances," says Wolfgang Rapberger, GM BRP-Rotax / Representative of the Management Board, summarizing the motives behind the event.

21 awards out of four categories

The BRP-Rotax Supplier Awards have been presented every three to four years since 2007. The Gunskirchen-based company honors suppliers who score points for special supply chain efficiency or other extraordinary achievements in their cooperation with BRP-Rotax. This year's 21 winners include long-standing partners such as Friedrich Deutsch GesmbH (Castings category), Bosch (Electronics), Deisenhammer Elastomertechnik (Rubber & Plastics) and Motorenfabrik HATZ (Steel Components).
