On Monday, 29^th April the BRP-Rotax apprentices and their trainers were happy about 1,111 accident-free days in our apprentice workshop. On this occasion, all the apprentices came together for a joint breakfast and discussed eagerly further actions relating to Health & Safety.

1,111 days without any accident in the apprentice shop are an occasion for joy throughout the company because the safety of our employees is our priority. At the same time, we are proud of our great apprentices, who are well trained in order to work without any risk in the apprentice workshop as well as in diverse workplaces in the company.

The measures taken to achieve this important goal include, among other things, the safety siren in the apprentice shop, which is ringing in the weekly meeting where current safety issues are discussed, as well as our Safety-RVVS (Rotax-improvement-suggestion-system), where new ideas are constantly submitted and realized in order to increase the safety at work and in which our apprentices are participating significantly.

Because of this reason, the apprentices had a powerful breakfast together with the management, so that they are strengthened for next 1,111 days coming. We thanked the apprentices for their engagement and effort.

Every year, about 16 young people start their apprenticeship at BRP-Rotax. They are trained in BRP-Rotax’s own apprenticeshop, in the RIC (Regional Innovation Centrum) and can choose from six different teaching professions:

• Motor vehicle technician (main module: motorcycle technology)
• Aircraft technician
• Metal technician (main module: machine construction)
• Metal technician (main module: machining technology)
• Mechatronic technician
• Process technician
