On the 26th and 27th of April the first event of this year's international Alpe Adria Cup took place at the Slovakiaring.

In the class Supermono (four-stroke single-cylinder engines up to 800 cc) Jerry van de Bunt was able to win all three races ahead of its competitors on more powerful engines. His lightweight machine with the Rotax 449 had been prepared by Rainer Happeck and Gottfried Michels in a proven way.
