What a season opener! The intensive preparations for the Formula Student East in Hungary and the Formula Student Austria in Spielberg have paid off for the Weasels - the racing team of FH Joanneum Graz. All goals set for the season have been achieved. As a crowning highlight, the students were able to win the first prize in the overall ranking in both competitions.

The Formula Student is an international design competition where student teams from all over the world compete against each other with self-constructed racing cars. The aim is to make students outstanding professionals and competitive with international competition. All vehicles are designed, constructed and built by the students themselves according to a given set of regulations. But the competition is not just about driving the fastest racing car: criteria such as endurance, design, business plan, etc. are also included in the rating.

BRP-Rotax is the long-time engine development partner of the racing team and supported the students with key components for the jr19, this year's racing car of the Weasels. The vehicle is equipped with a modified 2-cylinder Rotax engine with turbocharging, which is normally installed in a snowmobile.
