European premiere: BRP-Rotax presents the new Rotax 916iS/c sports aircraft propulsion system at AERO

The aviation industry is holding its breath as the new Rotax 916iS/c sports aircraft propulsion system, celebrated its European premiere at the AERO in Friedrichshafen. Many visitors flocked to the Rotax booth to get a glimpse of the "Impossible Engine", which debuted just three weeks earlier at the Sun 'n Fun Aerospace Expo in Florida.
Visitors:inside were able to get a glimpse of how this new propulsion system raises the level of performance in the light aircraft segment to unprecedented levels. With its powerful 160 hp and a weight of only 85.8 kilograms, the 916iS/c is the new star in the sky and is perfectly suited for four-seat sports aircraft and high-performance two-seaters.
In addition to its impressive performance, the 916iS/c also offers a 24-volt option that provides more comfort and additional cockpit equipment. Visitors:inside at AERO couldn't wait to learn more about it.
However, the presentation of the new sports aircraft propulsion system was just the beginning of a spectacular week. Aircraft manufacturers such as JMB, Scalewing and Flight Design were proud to showcase the Rotax engine in their models, and journalists were thrilled to attend the press conference.
