Education meets industry: RIC organizes exciting workshops at KIDI Upper Austria
At the KIDI Upper Austria (Children's Day of Industry Upper Austria), children and young people between the ages of 8 and 12 can take a look into the exciting world of industry. Since its inception, the RIC (Regional Innovation Center) GmbH and BRP-Rotax have been partners in the Austria-wide initiative, which has been successfully implemented by the Federation of Austrian Industries in cooperation with local leading companies since 2013.
Also this year the interest in the RIC workshops was high and the places accordingly quickly sold out: Over 100 children and adolescents came to the workshops on October 15 and 16 in WELIOS Wels. Under the expert guidance of the RIC trainers and the BRP-Rotax apprentices, they were able to playfully demonstrate their technical abilities at the "McTEC and the hot rod" workshop and experience first-hand how exciting "industry" can be.
Participation in the KIDI is only one of many initiatives with which the RIC, as a driver of innovation and education in the region, makes a significant contribution to the transfer of technological knowledge and, with that, to the sustainable development of competencies.
