Conversations and business competence at the fireplace
Our General Manager – up close and personal. Setting up a business oneself. Experiencing economy closely. This was the motto at the BRP-Rotax-outdoor training for third year apprentices.
15 technical and 2 commercial BRP-Rotax apprentices spent three days at the BWZ Steyregg to attend an outdoor training dealing with economic topics. The goal is to make the young people familiar with the most important economic terms, the company culture at BRP-Rotax, the basics of budget preparation as well as the stumbling stones in communication.
However, instead of studying boring theory, the apprentices were taught these topics in form of an outdoor-business game. In line with this concept, DI Thomas Uhr, General Manager BRP-Rotax GmbH & Co KG and Vice-President Powertrain BRP, answered their questions at the fireplace.
"The conversation with Mr. Uhr was very interesting. It was super which topics have developed, we simply talked and discussed – then we talked about motorcycling, for example," emphasizes Juliana Baumann. Thomas Koppl says: "We prepared presentations about history, products and financial matters for him. He participated and added valuable inputs to our presentations. Anna Felbermair adds: "We were able to ask a lot of questions and he answered all questions honestly – That was so cool! He was totally frank and answered our questions with great enthusiasm.”
