Gunskirchen, January 27, 2022 – Our employees made it possible and collected 70 cell phones for the Ö3 "Wundertüte" as part of our CSR campaign.

For over 17 years, Ö3 has been calling for old cell phones to be disposed of via the Ö3 "Wundertüte". In this way, they can be recycled in an environmentally friendly way and families in need can be helped. How does that work?

All cell phones that are still in working order are reused and sent to developing and emerging countries. Defective cell phones are recycled in an environmentally friendly manner and the resulting recyclable materials are reused.

These are used to calculate the proceeds of the donation, which go to the emergency aid funds of ORF's "Licht ins Dunkel" ("Light into Darkness") program and to Caritas' emergency aid program. The collection thus benefits families in Austria living in difficult circumstances.
