Can-Am Spyder Tour to the Glockner: the sound of freedom

Gunskirchen, June 12th, 2017 – Bend after bend, the 300 riders, who took part in the 5th BRP Tour for Can-Am Spyder Enthusiasts, "climbed" the Großglockner. The Powersport fans came from 16 nations - from Russia to Sweden.
Speed up, shift, full use of body and the next turn comes. The 36 hairpin bends of the Großglockner high alpine road require skill and concentration. Pure fun and fantastic weather meant this ride for 300 Can-Am Spyder riders. The group enjoyed the grandiose view and the unique panorama from the Franz-Josefs-Höhe.
The Can-Am Spyder Homecoming Tour took place this year for the fifth time. Powersport enthusiasts from all over Europe traveled to this extraordinary event. The fans of exciting trips on winding roads with a lot of nature come mainly from Poland, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Slovakia. The participants who came from farthermost to took part in the Spyder Großglockner Challenge came from Norway and drove 2,516 kilometers to celebrate three days of pure adventure with other Spyder enthusiasts.
Still, three Russian riders, who used the Spyder Großglockner Challenge as an intermediate stop on their 2-Oceans project, travelled a much greater distance: They started in Vladivostok, and had already covered 12,599 kilometers on their arrival in Gunskirchen.
The highlight of the event was the ride to the Grossglockner on Saturday, where also 20 enthusiastic Rotax colleagues participated- and they came back exhausted, but with a broad, satisfied grin from this extraordinary event. On Friday there was an exciting framework program. A part of the group took part in a company tour at BRP-Rotax. The company was pleased by a new visitor record at this part of the event and the great interest of the Spyder drivers in the core of their vehicles, the BRP Rotax engines. A few daredevils, who already took part in the Spyder Großglockner Challenge for the fourth or fifth time, took the opportunity and lifted off with an ultralight aircraft at Wels airport. Others enjoyed the wonderful weather and toured through the lake district of Salzkammergut. Together they all let the evening fade away with a dinner and live music from the band "So Fine" from the Czech Republic.
In addition to the exciting exits, the attractive evening program with Galadinner, Barbecue-Evening and Livemusik is especially popular. Many of the Can-Am Spyder drivers were sure that they will be back again next year.
