BRP-Rotax produces 10 millionth engine: A celebratory milestone in Gunskirchen

High-performance powertrain systems made in Upper Austria: Together with all employees and guests of honour from our Canadian parent company BRP, BRP-Rotax celebrated the successful production of the 10 millionth engine at the company premises in Gunskirchen on October 28.
Gunskirchen, November 2, 2021 – BRP-Rotax looks back on a long success story. With its high-performance powertrains for the powersports sector, the Upper Austrian company has firmly established itself at the top of the world market and is now pleased to celebrate a special milestone: On October 28, the 10 millionth engine was produced in Gunskirchen. This anniversary production – the Rotax engine 900 ACE Turbo 150 – is the extraordinary heart of Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles.
The 900 ACE Turbo 150
BRP-Rotax once again proves its technical capabilities with its in-house developed and produced turbo engine. The 150 hp 900 ACE Turbo is perfectly matched to the vehicle, scores with great reliability, improved fuel consumption and exceptional driving dynamics. Among others, BRP’s snowmobiles Ski-Doo Expedition SE and Lynx Commander are propelled to great success by this engine.

BRP-Rotax celebrated the production marker with assembly employees and guests from the Canadian parent company BRP. José Boisjoli, President and CEO of BRP, thanked the Rotax team in his speech and congratulated them on their dedication. Also attending the celebration in Upper Austria on behalf of BRP were Thomas Uhr, Senior Vice-President Product Engineering and Manufacturing Operations Powersports, Anne Le Breton, Senior Vice-President Human Resources, Eric Lebel, Vice-President Human Resources and Minh Thanh Tran, Vice-President Corporate Strategy & Development and Global Transformation.
