Gunskirchen, July 04 2022 – On the occasion of the Florianiweekend, Peter Ölsinger, General Manager BRP-Rotax, Member of the Management Board and Vice President Sales, Marketing RPS-Business & Communications handed over a Can-Am Defender HD10 in firefighter look to the volunteer fire department Gunskirchen at the former Union-Sportplatz in Gunskirchen on Sunday, July 03, 2022.

This surprising gesture highlights the decades-long cooperation between the Gunskirchen Fire Department and the company-owned fire protection group of BRP Rotax GmbH & Co KG. Since the 1970s, a vehicle of the Gunskirchen volunteer fire department has been stationed at the company, which is used for internal operations of the fire protection group. At the same time, the members of the company's internal fire protection group are authorized to go out on external missions in the municipal area and support the local fire departments. This is a tremendous added value for everyone involved.

According to Commander Martin Grabner, the tactical components of the Can-Am Defender are of particular advantage and importance to the fire department for operations in rough terrain. He spoke thereby from concrete experience, since this vehicle was requested already in March 2022 by the FF Gunskirchen with a vegetation fire and could prove its efficiency here more than.

Mayor Christian Schöffmann thanked Peter Ölsinger for the support of the company with this vehicle donation and the possibility that in case of operation members of the fire protection group are released as support of the local forces.

In his speech, district fire department commander Johann Gasperlmair highlighted BRP-Rotax as a firefighter-friendly company that has already received the "Flame Award" from the Austrian Federal Fire Brigade Association as a "firefighter-friendly employer" for its commitment.
