BRP-Rotax donates for the future

Gunskirchen, February 26, 2018 - BRP-Rotax, like all BRP sites, has been supporting various social organizations for many years within the framework of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and educational institutions.

A particularly big concern for us is to support children and adolescents. As part of the Rotax®Donation, this year we are donating 8,500 euros each to two social clubs that deserve every support: the association Emotion> Kumplgut <in Wels, which helps children with cancer and seriously illness to recover in a relaxed environment after their stay in the hospital and the association Vehikel, a motor vehicle workshop, in which young people receive an apprenticeship in the field of automotive engineering and bodywork technology.

Part of the donation amount resulted from a campaign to abandon the car on the way to work. The car kilometers saved by Rotax employees were donated in monetary terms to a sustainable donation.

Sigrid Leutgeb, Director Human Resources and Wolfgang Rapberger, Vice President of Global Sourcing Powertrain & Operations GK visited both clubs, presented a donation check and informed themselves on site. The commitment and the really great work was impressive.

The Kumplgut offers children and their families who are suffering from cancer and seriously illness a free stay at the adventure farm with playground, swimming pond, sports field and excursions with the help of trained child and youth carers. So they give the children and their relatives courage again, convey joy and fun in life and help to forget the mental stress.

Vehikel is a master workshop for car repair, but at the same time also a vehicle for the future of the 30 apprentices: The young people work with great dedication to the cars and their own start to the work life. They are supported by social education so that they can continue their teaching on the job market and get a job. A help for cars and teenagers at once.

We are happy to contribute to a good future with a donation.
