With 606 companies from around the world and 30,800 visitors the AERO Friedrichshafen 2016 took place from April 20-23, 2016. The perfect platform to inform the visitors about the latest news on Rotax aircraft engines was the ‘booth cooperation’ of our German distributor with some of Europe’s authorized Rotax aircraft distributors.

It was the first time that BRP-Rotax presented the Rotax 915 iS aircraft engine in Europe, a special highlight. The interest in the Rotax 915 iS aircraft engine –start of serial production is planned in the second half of 2017– was huge.

In the course of the Rotax 915 iS press conference the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) was handed over to the German company MT Propeller by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The SCT allows the retrofitting of Diamond models DA20 and DV20 to Rotax 912 iSc Sport. MT Propeller will provide the STC free of charge.
