BRP-Rotax and RIC at the KINDERTAG DER OÖ INDUSTRIE

At KIDI OÖ (Children's Day of Industry Upper Austrian), students between the ages of 8 and 12 gain exciting insights into the world of industry. Since its inception, BRP-Rotax and the RIC have been partners in the Austria-wide initiative, which has been successfully implemented by the Federation of Austrian Industries in cooperation with local leading companies since 2013.

More than 600 students attended the KIDI Upper Austria on October 11 and 12 at the Welios Science Center in Wels – one of a total of 3 stations at this year's event. Under the motto "Industry made easy for children", the Federation of Austrian Industries and Upper Austrian industrial companies invited students to learn about various fields of activity in companies and to discover the topics of mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology (MINT) in exciting lectures and workshops.

This was also the case at the workshop "Elektro-SSV – coole Flitzer selbst gebaut" (electric SSV - cool self-built racers) by BRP-Rotax and RIC, where the students built their own Can-Am Maverick with electric drive. They were able to demonstrate basic craft skills, such as cutting, drilling and wiring, and learn more about their technical training from BRP-Rotax apprentices.

The Children's Day of Industry is an important initiative with which BRP-Rotax and the RIC jointly contribute to bringing the exciting world of industry closer to children and young people and to arousing their interest in MINT apprenticeships.
