Awards for the best of the best

Gunskirchen, June 21, 2016 – At the WKO Lehrlingswettbewerb (Apprentice Award) the best young talents of the Upper Austrian industry are honored. BRP-Rotax is pleased that, two of their apprentices, Anna Felbermair and Nico Heiml, are on the podium.
All apprentices of the Upper Austrian industry can participate in the competition. In two categories, technical and commercial apprentices, the achievements in the competition are assessed with a 100-point system. All participating have successfully completed the second year of training and can compare their knowledge with apprentices from other companies.
BRP-Rotax is pleased with Anna Felbermair’s first place in the category production engineering and her second place in the category women and technology as well as Nico Heiml's second place in the categroy electrical engineering. 2011 Ursula Commenda ranked first as commercial apprentice, as production engineer Christian Haunschmid ranked 3rd and 2015 Philipp Greifeneder ranked 2nd in electrical engineering.
The apprentice competition is a good indicator to check whether the chosen direction in training is right, since the apprentices measure themselves with the others at about half time of their education. In the competitionnumerous tasks have to be performed and completed and the execution is evaluated by experienced trainers.
The award of the WKO Lehrlingsaward 2016 takes place on 21 June 2016 at the Linz Design Center. DI Thomas Uhr, General Manager BRP-Rotax GmbH & Co KG and Vice-President BRP-Powertrain gave the eulogy and congratulated Mrs Felbermair warmly on your first place.
