HERE’S HOW TO BECOME AN APPRENTICE WITH US

Send us your application form and all your documentation by January 31 at the latest.

There is an aptitude test at the start of the year – based on the Hauptschule (general secondary school) syllabus for grades 3 and 4 – you must have successfully completed compulsory education in order to be accepted.

To help make your decision about your career choice easier, trial apprenticeships are available for all the trades.

Training on the Job

In the course of your training you’ll to get to know different departments. You’ll also work independently in the apprentices‘ workshop, with state-of-the-art machines and the latest office equipment. As a technical apprentice, in addition to your prescribed training, you’ll take part in internally-organized training sessions to help you develop your knowledge further.   

As an international company we provide you with the opportunity to undertake work placements of several weeks with our partner companies.

"APPRENTICESHIP PLUS" - GOING THE EXTRA MILE FOR YOU

In your first year as an apprentice you’ll have the support of mentors to help you enter the world of work. Alongside your colleagues, you’ll take part in exciting excursions and specialist courses and attend trade fairs and a range of training sessions, all of which will promote your personal development. All of our apprenticeship trainers are trained in social education.

Training with three-way communication: We help you maximize your success by involving your parents in your training, and providing them with regular feedback.

SHARED SUCCESS

If you achieve good or excellent results at school and demonstrate a high level of commitment to your work, we will reward you with performance bonuses and non-cash prizes. As a team we take part in competitions requiring team spirit and creativity, such as running events and the Conrad AKKURACE.

APPRENTICESHIP WITH SCHOOL-LEAVING CERTIFICATE

You can conclude your apprenticeship here by taking the school-leaving certificate in English. The course takes place in-house and for the most part can be attended during working hours. 25% of all BRP-Rotax apprentices conclude their apprenticeship with the school-leaving certificate. We will be happy to support you to achieve this.

GIRL POWER

It is particularly important to us to inspire young women about technology and open up new opportunities to them. This is why we take part in programmes such as Girl Day and Power Girls. We invite girls who are interested in technology to these information days, to give them an insight into the world of powersports.

20% of our technical apprentices are girls.

APPRENTICESHIPS TRADES / PROFILES

MOTOR VEHICLE TECHNICIAN (Main module: motorcycle technology)

› APPRENTICESHIP: 3 ½ YEARS

As a motor vehicle technician you’ll specialise in certain vehicle and engine types. Apart from having manual skills and a nimble mind you should also be able to work at speed to find constructive solutions for mechanical, technological and electrical problems.

Our motor vehicle technicians work in engine development as well as in assembly.

AIRCRAFT TECHNICIAN

› APPRENTICESHIP: 3 ½ YEARS

As an aircraft technician you’ll work with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic parts for aircraft. The scope of the work includes servicing and repair work on powertrains.

To work as an aircraft technician you need manual skills, a nimble mind and the facility to solve problems. Our aircraft technicians work in engine development. We also send our aircraft technician apprentices to partner companies for industry-wide training.

METAL TECHNICIAN (Main module: machine construction)

› APPRENTICESHIP: 3 ½ JAHRE

As a metal technician focusing on machine construction technology, the variety in the training course means you’ll work as a technician in production.

The fabrication and assembly of machines and production facilities and their servicing and repair require knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electro mechanics on top of skills in manual and mechanical metalworking.

METAL TECHNICIAN (Main module: machine technology)

› APPRENTICESHIP: 3 ½ YEARS

Machining technicians make an important contribution to the quality of the end product. You are confronted with constantly changing technologies and your operational area extends from conventional engines to CNC engines right up to complex production lines.

The work is especially interesting and diverse here because of the variety of production processes and a wide-ranging machine pool.

MECHATRONIC TECHNICIAN

› APPRENTICESHIP: 3 ½ YEARS

The term mechatronics consists of the words mechanics and electronics.
You’ll need manual skills and a nimble mind to find constructive solutions to mechanical, technological and electrical problems.

Because of the increasing application of technology the operational area of a mechatronic technician is widening all the time.
Here mechatronic technicians operate in many different areas from development to maintenance & repair.

PROCESS TECHNICIAN

› APPRENTICESHIP: 3 ½ YEARS

As a process technician you’ll need manual skills, a nimble mind and the ability to work at speed to find constructive solutions for mechanical, technological and electrical problems.

Included in your tasks will be the setting up of workplaces and defining work stages and methods. You plan the use of tools, devices and production resources on CNC engines, installations and assembly systems.

Process technicians here work in production planning and control as well as in logistics and quality assurance.
