Ever since the 1960s, when ROTAX won Bombardier* over after a worldwide search and rigorous testing, BRP-Rotax has excelled in the world of snowmobiles. Today's applications include 2- and 4-stroke, 1- to 3-cylinder engines with displacements between 270 and 1500 cc and a performance range of 27 to 150 horsepower in regular serial execution. BRP-Rotax is convinced that the very best snowmobile engines must combine power with constant improvements in fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness. That's why we're offering the following two clean technologies:

ROTAX 2-TEC SDI: In this groundbreaking system, fuel is injected into the transfer port of each cylinder. This semi-direct injection process reduces emissions and increases  fuel economy, without sacrificing power - all with the light weight and high performance you've come to expect from a ROTAX 2-stroke.

ROTAX 4-TEC: The first 4-stroke specifically designed for snowmobiles, the ROTAX 4-TEC V-1000 has bragging rights that include high fuel efficiency; V-configuration with a lower engine placement and centre of gravity; extremely low noise and emissions; and lower maintenance costs.
